With a drawing belongs to one or many big projects will use a lot of layers. Perhaps, it is because the contractors or the investors require to create the layer catalog which is used in that drawing to support to next design… With simple drawing, we can summarize layers which is used manually because there are only a few layers. But for big projects that have a dozens or hundreds of layers, the manual statistic seems to be impossible.
In this tutorial, I will guide you how to export a list of layer in AutoCAD 2015 drawing automatically without any lisps. Because I will use an available special option in AutoCAD version 2015 to do statistic in just one minute.
Step 1: open drawing needed to do layer statistic.
Step 2: at Ribbon bar, choose Insert tab, choose data extraction.
