Your computer has already installed AutoCAD software but you cannot open *.dwg file. When you right-click on drawing file to open, a notification displayed to open *.dwg with AutoCAD DWG Launcher “open with AutoCAD DWG Launcher”.

In fact, it is neither AutoCAD’s error nor system’s error. The reason is autocad is not automatically updated all .dwg file on your computer.

To set .dwg files automatically open with autocad when you click on them, you need to establish the connection between them.

You should do as instruction follow to eliminate errors which cannot open .dwg file with AutoCAD. This method applies to all autocad version and window system version.

Step 1: Right-click on drawing file, choose “open with”.

Sub window displayed, choose “Choose default”.

Step 2: Click browse to access the folder which save the application.
